A young lady from my church is getting married next month and I attended her bridal shower this weekend. We met at a cool refurbished old auto garage. It was nice to chat with other ladies, see Destiny so glowing with excitement, munch on food, and play some party games.

I work with John, doing the administrative stuff and the bookkeeping for his software business. It's part-time, rather sporadic, and the majority can be done at home. One of my responsibilities is to send out mailings, and this week was an update to 80% of John's customers. CD's, stamps, mailers, labels, and instructions....but I feel accomplished when I throw the finished product down the mail chute.

My brother brought his family to town for their spring break. My dad used an old "bobsled" (which my grandpa built) to give rides, and Isaac then took the challenge of trying to hang on while Dad whipped him around the yard. The bobsled tipped up on two runners, but Isaac was the conqueror.

One of our adventures when we ventured off the ship was snorkeling. Not my best experience, and I'm afraid it has soured my dream of ever certifying in SCUBA to accompany my husband on a scuba-diving trip. The ride in the small boat, the waves assailing my ears, and the salt water all combined to make me queasy, and I opted out of the 2nd reef snorkel. I did enjoy having the fish come super close to me. And the color of the water (turquoise!) was delightful.

Our next adventure was a trip to an Eco Park in Belize. We took a bus ride through the countryside, used mountain bikes to traverse a narrow trail in the jungle, received information on local botany & insects & industry, saw 4 monkeys up in the trees, felt warm breezes while eating an authentic Belizean meal under a thatched roof, and ended our excursion rocking in hammocks in the shade next to a huge pool.

Our cruise left from Florida and stopped at two towns, Cozumel and Belize City. It was a good mix of 'days at sea' and port days. John and I are glad we went, but we're pretty sure we won't become frequent cruisers. Some things I liked: being pampered, linens & menus & leisure in the dining room, sitting outside and absorbing heat, enjoying time with my husband. Two things I didn't like: the rocking movement of the ship, large condensed crowds.
